We feel Tom had a genuine care for our listing and wanted to do what’s best for our family. We knew that we wanted to sell our house about 6 months in advance and Tom was able to put a timeline and plan in place. He was able to provide a detailed list of projects that could help our property appeal to buyers. We believe that Tom’s attention to detail, communication, and execution set him apart from the rest. We were really impressed with his listing and marketing packet. He used the latest technology to show our house including: video walkthrough, drone aerial shots, and a Matterport virtual tour. And the result speaks for itself. In a balanced market, we received 6 offers all at our above list price and we were able to close way sooner than anticipated. Tom Wood was our latest real estate agent and, by far, the best. Tom orchestrated staging our home followed by a short three-day opening on the market. At the end of that time, we had five outstanding offers from which to choose. We chose and that is when Tom’s professionalism and expertise began to tell. Things became tense during the inspection period. The home inspector described several deficiencies that a professional electrician later confirmed as “in working order.” But it had instilled not a little fear and doubt in the out-of-town buyers, and not a little frustration and fear in us, the sellers. We sensed the deal was at risk. This is the point where Tom’s strengths came into play. He assured us that the path to closure was a short one. He worked behind the scenes with the buyer’s agent to clear up misunderstandings and miscommunication. And he calmed our fears. As we were driving out of town to our new home, Tom called us on the road and told us the title deed had been recorded and escrow closed. We could not have been happier. The difference between Tom and other real estate agents we have used in the past—all competent—was that Tom exercised an extraordinary degree of care. One might call him a shepherd. It was as if ours were his own home he was selling. And he was concerned at every turn about our fears and feelings. I cannot tell you how many times I would turn around and Tom was there with a smile and with all the confidence his experience could offer. Tom is the best man to have on your side. He always had our six.

Tom Wood was incredibly knowledgeable about our neighborhood, the market, the buyers actively looking and didn’t seem to let our urgency remotely phase him. With some minor work we staged the home and had it listed ASAP, and received some incredible offers. He helped me to correctly position my house in an evolving market which ultimately led to a great offer. He always kept me informed of what was required of me during the entire process of selling my home, from listing to closing. The photographer he used took spectacular video and photos of the house and generated much interest during the showing of the house. And Tom was also available to help out with many small things such as staging rooms, helping clear the yard, and with moving out, all of which made a big difference to me and to selling the house. I appreciated his candid advice all the while couching everything as "our decision" given that it is "our money". I found Tom to truly go above and beyond, making himself available nearly all the time and certainly at a time that would work for us. I am a broker on the commercial side, so my residential knowledge is limited, but I recall something that a teacher at Hogan told us when I first took the prelicensing course 20 years ago, "we don't need more real estate agents, we need better real estate agents." He accommodated house hunting with a toddler pre and post COVID-19 and never made us feel like we were imposing any kind of inconvenience. As first time home buyers we never knew just how much we didn’t know about shopping for a house and that naïveté in this time period would have completely torpedoed any chance we had of securing a house. We had to make an offer on a house rather quickly which was slightly uncomfortable at the time but ultimately Tom helped us navigate a competitive market without making us feel “under the gun”. If finding the house and helping us put in a winning offer wasn’t enough, Tom then played the role of leader when it came to home inspections and all things related to the dominoes that need to fall leading up to our closing day. To say that Tom went above and beyond any expectation we might have had for a realtor is an understatement. We had met at least 5 different realtors at open houses who didn’t leave a lasting impression on us prior to enlisting Tom whom we clicked with instantly. Essentially, I would highly recommend Tom.

He was different than the other realtors we came across at all the open houses. He was very honest about the market, areas of Tucson he liked, and tried to get to know us as people. He didn't try to sell us on anything, but truly just wanted to help in any way he could. We kept his card and decided we wanted to work with him to find a home about a year later. We are so happy with our decision. At the time of our home search, we had our first baby of only 3 weeks. Tom was very flexible with our schedule and he went above and beyond the call of duty. He took the reins when it came to inspections and has a lot of great contacts that we have utilized even after the closing. He had the house inspected with by numerous venders and specialists to ensure we could gather the most information about the house and make an informed purchase.
